My name is Valentin PrĂ©vot (ARPO). I am a french illustrator, cartoonist and graphist. I have been in the preparatory school of the ARCADES (Issy-les-Moulineaux) then I graduated from ENSAAMA school with a BTS of graphism. Since 2018, I am working in freelance as graphic designer and illustrator. Currently in residence at the Daguerre’s workshops in Paris, I am working on a comic book project published by Delcourt.
My idea is to provide a new frame of reference capable of transcending reality, either through “dreamlike” pictures or through realistic representations driven by a desire to recount daily life. It is important for me to offer a poeticized vision of reality, in the way of T.A. Steinlen. I explore and continue to multiply graphic and stylistic experiments as well as revisiting genres (comics, frescoes, travel diaries, etc.) and techniques (India ink, watercolor, colored pencils, oil painting, etc.). My approach aims to combine an applied illustration practice with a more diverse artistic work.
